Meet Your Treecat AI Assistant

Your whole reselling business, one conversation away. The Treecat AI assistant connector puts your inventory, listings, prices and sales inside the AI you already use (Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini). You say what you want in plain English. Your assistant does the work across every marketplace you sell on, and nothing changes until you say yes.

What it is

Treecat already crosslists, delists and keeps inventory in sync across eBay, Mercari, Poshmark, Whatnot, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, Walmart and WooCommerce. The connector gives your AI assistant secure access to those same powers through more than 60 Treecat actions. Every one of them works from a sentence.

  • Ask anything about your inventory and sales, and get an answer in seconds instead of an afternoon of filters and spreadsheets.

  • Act on one item or a thousand: list, crosslist, reprice, retitle, relabel, delist, relist, archive.

  • Combine steps that would never fit on one Treecat screen into a single request.

If you can describe it, your assistant can probably do it. Think of it less as a new feature and more as the ability to build your own.

How the Treecat AI assistant connector works

Your request flows through Treecat to your marketplaces, and every change comes back to you as a preview first.

Don't what Treecat can do. Ask what you want done.

Every app gives you its buttons, its filters and its screens, in the order its designers imagined. Your assistant gives you a different deal: you describe the outcome, and it puts the steps together for you. The question changes from "Is there a feature for that?" to "What do I want my business to do today?"

You used to...Now you say...
Click through filters, sort, export, then fiddle in a spreadsheet to find stale stock"Which of my eBay listings have sat for more than 90 days without a sale? Rank them by price."
Edit 40 titles one at a time"Add the size and color to every women's sweater title that's missing them. Show me the new titles first."
Guess which marketplace is really working"Compare September and October sales by marketplace and tell me where I'm growing."
Copy listings by hand to a new marketplace"Crosslist everything I have on Poshmark but not on Mercari. Preview it first."
Keep a sticky note of what's in which tub"Note on each of these items that it's in tub 14, then find everything in tub 14."
Search help articles when a listing fails"Why did my Whatnot listing fail, and what do I do about it?"

What sellers get from it

  • Time back. Jobs that took an evening of clicking become a sentence and a quick review.

  • Answers you never had. Questions that needed exports and pivot tables are now just questions.

  • Precision at scale. Change exactly the items you mean, for example red women's shoes listed in March 2026, with nothing missed and nothing extra.

  • Your own features. Workflows Treecat never built a button for, built by you in plain English and reusable whenever you like.

  • Freedom to connect. Bring data in from anywhere and send it out in any format, to any tool you use.

  • Confidence. You see a preview of every change before it touches a live listing.

12 ways sellers put their assistant to work

Each of these runs on Treecat actions that exist today. Copy a prompt, change the details, and it's yours.

1. Turn a folder of photos into drafts

Drop in photos or links to them. Treecat's Image Autofill groups them into products and drafts each listing with a title, category, item specifics and description. You review the groups before any draft is created.

"Here are 24 photos from today's haul. Group them into products, show me what you found, and create drafts once I approve."

2. Rewrite listings with your own best prompts

Your favorite title formula or description style now runs across your whole inventory, by brand, category, date listed or any mix.

"For every Pendleton item listed before June, rewrite the eBay title as brand, item, size, color, material, under 80 characters. Use only facts already in the listing. Show me before and after."

3. Reprice with surgical precision

Raise or cut prices by an amount or a percentage, set price endings, or schedule recurring drops that stop at a floor price you choose.

"Reduce the price of red women's shoes listed in March 2026 by 15% on all marketplaces, ending in .99. Preview it first." "Every two weeks, drop my Mercari listings older than 60 days by 5%, but never below $12."

4. Fill the gaps in your crosslisting

Find every item missing from a marketplace and send it there in one go, or spread new listings across the next two weeks.

"Find items listed on eBay but not on Mercari, check that their Mercari forms are complete, and show me a crosslisting preview."

5. Know your numbers

Sales by marketplace, by period, by brand or keyword, with refunds called out. Ask follow-up questions like you would a business partner.

"How much did I gross on each marketplace last month, how many items sold, and what was my best-selling brand?"

6. Make your inventory audit itself

Treecat's audit finds items sold on one marketplace but still live elsewhere, listings missing where they should be, and quantity drift. Your assistant explains each problem and fixes it on approval.

"Audit my inventory for problems, group them by type, and recommend fixes. Don't change anything yet."

7. Clean up duplicates and matches

Link the same item across marketplaces so a sale on one ends the others, and remove duplicate listings within an account.

"Show me match suggestions above 90% confidence, and dismiss any where the sizes differ."

8. Connect Treecat to the rest of your world

Use Treecat Notes and labels as a bridge to any site or tool, even ones with no public integration.

"Put the URL of each item's listing on my own website into its Treecat note." "Label everything stored in tub 14 and add the bin location to the notes."

9. Bring data in from anywhere

A supplier's spreadsheet, a consignment list or measurements in a text file can become new listings or updates to existing ones.

"Here's my consignor's list of 30 items with sizes and prices. Create drafts for each and flag any missing details."

10. Export any way you like

Get your data in the format your accountant, your consignor or your own spreadsheet wants, not just a fixed CSV.

"Make me a table of everything sold in Q3 with sale date, marketplace, price and eBay SKU, grouped by consignor label."

11. Run your Poshmark closet and relist schedules

Set up, pause, reorder and review closet-sharing schedules and recurring relists without opening a settings page.

"Show my closet-sharing schedules and pause the evening one until Monday."

12. Troubleshoot like a pro

Your assistant reads Treecat's jobs, account status and official help articles, then tells you what happened and what to do next.

"Show my failed jobs from this week, group them by reason, and tell me which marketplace accounts need reconnecting."

A morning with your assistant

Here is what 15 minutes over coffee can look like for a seller with 800 items across eBay, Mercari and Poshmark.

  1. "What sold overnight, and did everything delist cleanly?" Three sales came in. All were delisted from the other marketplaces except one Poshmark listing with a pending offer, which your assistant flags for you to handle.

  2. "What's dragging?" It finds 112 listings older than 90 days and groups them by brand. Coach and Pendleton are holding up fine; fast-fashion tops are not.

  3. "Drop the fast-fashion tops by 20%, ending in .99, everywhere they're listed. Preview first." You scan a table of 41 old and new prices, remove two items, and say yes. Treecat queues the updates, and your assistant confirms when each marketplace accepts them.

  4. "Those 41 aren't on Mercari yet, are they?" Nineteen aren't. It checks their Mercari forms, points out three with missing shipping weights, and crosslists the other 16 after you approve.

  5. "Remind me what's in tub 9." It lists the 14 items whose Treecat notes say tub 9, with their status on every marketplace.

No filters, no exports, no tab-switching. Five sentences, five decisions, and a business that's in better shape than it was before breakfast.

Set it up in about five minutes

You need a Treecat account with at least one marketplace connected, and the Google account you use to sign in to Treecat. The connector address is the same for every assistant:

https://mcp.treecat.io/mcp

Choose what your assistant may do

When you sign in, Treecat asks which permissions to grant. You can change them later by reconnecting.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

  2. Name it Treecat and paste the connector address.

  3. Click Connect, sign in with your Treecat Google account, and choose your permissions.

  4. In a new chat, turn on Treecat from the tools menu and ask: "Show my connected Treecat marketplace accounts."

Treecat is on its way to Claude's connector directory. Once it's listed, you'll be able to add it with one click.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT settings, open the apps (connectors) area and turn on Developer mode under the advanced settings.

  2. Create a new app named Treecat and paste the connector address.

  3. Sign in with your Treecat Google account and choose your permissions.

  4. In a new chat, add Treecat from the tools menu and ask: "What can Treecat do for me?"

When we release new Treecat actions, press Refresh on the Treecat app in ChatGPT's settings to pick them up. A directory listing is coming, which will remove this step.

Gemini

  1. Open the Gemini app on the web and go to Settings › Connected Apps › Custom apps.

  2. Add a custom app and paste the connector address.

  3. Sign in with your Treecat Google account and choose your permissions.

  4. Start a chat and ask: "Using Treecat, show my 10 most recent sales."

Custom apps in Gemini are currently available in the US, to people 18 and over, on a personal Google account in English, with Keep Activity turned on. Once added on the web, Treecat works in the Gemini mobile app too. Gemini asks you to approve each change itself, so you'll confirm once in Gemini and once in Treecat's preview.

You stay in control, every time

Your assistant is powerful, but it's never on autopilot. Every change to a live listing follows the same three steps.

  1. Look. It finds the exact items, marketplaces and accounts involved and shows you what's there now.

  2. Preview. Before anything changes, you see precisely what will happen: old and new prices, new titles, which marketplaces get which listings, and anything that will be skipped. Treecat won't apply a change without your yes.

  3. Verify. After you approve, it follows the job until each marketplace confirms it, and tells you plainly about anything that didn't go through.

Notes stay private to Treecat, AI drafts wait for your review, and you choose the permission level. You can ask "show me first" in any request, and your assistant will.

Prompts that get great results

The more specific you are, the better it works. A great prompt names:

  • The items: a title, SKU, brand, label, date range or listing ID

  • The marketplace and account: "my second eBay account", "Mercari only"

  • The change: the exact new price, title, wording or status

  • How much: one item, this list, or everything that matches

  • Your safety net: "preview first" and "confirm when it's live"

"Find my Lululemon leggings listed on Poshmark for more than 60 days. Show title, price and listing date. Preview a 10% price cut ending in .00, wait for my approval, then confirm each update went through."

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost extra? Using the connector doesn't change how Treecat bills. Treecat charges per billable sale, and actions you take through your assistant count exactly as they would in the Treecat app. For example, an item crosslisted through your assistant is billable when it sells, just like one crosslisted on the website.

Do I need a paid AI plan? It depends on your assistant and region. Check that your Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini plan supports custom connectors or apps.

Can it do everything on every marketplace? It can do whatever Treecat supports for that marketplace. Some actions are marketplace-specific (closet sharing is Poshmark only), and some need a signed-in account. If something isn't possible, your assistant will say so instead of pretending.

Will it change things without asking? No. Changes show a preview first and wait for your approval. With Read permission only, it can't change anything at all.

Is my account safe? You sign in with your own Treecat Google account and choose the permission level. The assistant works through Treecat, never with your marketplace passwords. You can disconnect it at any time from your assistant's settings.

Can I trust what it writes? Treat its titles, descriptions and price ideas like a sharp assistant's first draft. Ask it to use only facts from your listing and photos, and review before anything goes live.

Does it work on my phone? Yes, wherever your assistant's mobile app supports connectors. Ask from the couch, the car (parked) or the thrift store aisle.

Where can I learn more? Ask your assistant: "Search Treecat Help for ...". It reads Treecat's official help articles and answers from them.

Start with one question

Connect Treecat to your assistant today and ask it one thing you've always wanted to know about your business. Most sellers start with "What's been listed the longest without selling?" Then they keep going.
