Poshmark’s New Cancellation Policy: Why Inventory Control Is No Longer Optional

?Poshmark Is Now Suspending Sellers for Cancellations

In January 2026, Poshmark quietly rolled out a major enforcement change and many sellers won’t realize it until they’re already suspended.

?

Here’s what changed:

?The New Rule (In Plain English)

?

  • Sellers who exceed a 3% cancellation rate in a rolling 90-day period will now face a 14-day account suspension.

?

What 3% Actually Looks Like:

Let’s say you sell:

  • 30  items per month
  • That’s  90 sales in 90 days

3% of 90 = **2.7 cancellations (**rounded). You get about one cancellation per month.

?

?How Does Treecat Help?

Treecat:

  • Automatically delists items when they sell on other marketplaces, preventing oversells
  • Sends email  notifications for every sale
  • Includes direct links to manually remove listings with pending offers

?

But sellers still need to:

  • Check notifications
  • Click the link if a pending offer exists
  • Confirm inventory is clean

Automation helps and attention protects you.

?

The New Reality for Poshmark Sellers:

Poshmark is no longer forgiving.
Inventory control is no longer “nice to have.”
It’s now a compliance requirement.
