1. Make Sure Treecat Is Ready to Use

  • The Treecat agent is installed and working on your computer
  • Your selling accounts are already set up and active
  • You can successfully create listings on each platform outside of Treecat

This includes stores such as:

  • eBay
  • Poshmark
  • Mercari

If your accounts are not fully set up yet, you may run into issues when trying to connect them through Treecat.

2. Check Your Proxy Connection

Treecat uses your proxy connection, so it’s important to verify that it’s working before logging into platforms.

To check it:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Proxy Configuration
  3. Look for the status indicator

If the status is green, your proxy is active. You can also click Test Proxy to confirm that your local agent is working properly.

  • eBay: Log into eBay in a separate browser tab before logging in through Treecat.
  • Mercari: Use your email address, not your user ID, when logging in through Treecat.

A few extra notes about eBay policies:

  • Only enable the toggle if you actually use eBay policies
  • If you change this setting on or off, you’ll need to perform a full sync

4. How to Log In to Platforms in Treecat

Once everything is ready, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click the Platforms button
  3. Choose the platform you want to connect

eBay

  • Click Link eBay Account
  • Treecat may auto-populate your login details
  • If you’re already logged into eBay in another tab, the connection should complete quickly

Mercari

  • Enter your email address
  • Enter your password
  • Click Log In

Poshmark

  • Enter your username
  • Enter your password
  • Click Add Account

After each successful login, Treecat will show that the platform is connected.

Once your platforms are connected, you’re ready to move on to the core Treecat workflows:
