Treecat’s New Multi-Quantity Listing Feature: Better Inventory Handling for Replenishable Items

Treecat has introduced a new, more advanced way to handle multi-quantity listings for sellers who regularly restock items. If you sell replenishable inventory on eBay or other platforms, this update is designed to help you keep your listings active, preserve listing history, and manage quantities more efficiently.

What’s New in Treecat Quantity Handling?

Previously, Treecat focused on a single-quantity listing workflow. In that setup, when an item sold down from multiple units, Treecat would relist it as a quantity of one. This approach worked well for many sellers, especially those listing one-off items.

Now, Treecat supports a second option:

• Store only a single quantity
• Store multiple quantities

This gives multi-quantity sellers more control over how inventory appears and behaves across selling platforms.

Why Multi-Quantity Sellers Will Benefit

For sellers who carry replenishable items, the new multi-quantity option offers several advantages:

• Keeps the listing live as inventory sells down
• Preserves likes, watchers, and sales history
• Helps maintain listing momentum over time
• Supports stronger visibility and discoverability

Instead of relisting an item as a brand-new listing each time, Treecat can now keep the original listing active until the quantity reaches zero.

How to Enable Multi-Quantity Handling in Treecat

To use the new feature, go into your Treecat settings under Profile. At the bottom, you’ll see the quantity handling options:

• Store only a single quantity
• Store multiple quantities

Simply toggle to the option that matches how you want your listings handled. Treecat saves the change automatically, so there’s no separate save button needed.

eBay Setting You Need to Update

If you sell on eBay, there’s one more step to make this workflow function correctly.

In your eBay account, go to:

• Selling Preferences
• Multi-quantity listings
• Set listings to stay active when they’re out of stock

This ensures that when an item reaches zero quantity, the listing remains active instead of ending.

Replenishing Stock After an Item Sells Out

When a multi-quantity item sells down to zero:

• Treecat will show the quantity as 0
• eBay will display the item as out of stock
• The listing remains active

If you restock the item later, simply update the quantity in Treecat to the new number of units. Once you save the change, Treecat relists the item automatically.

This makes it easier to manage replenishable inventory without losing listing performance.
