Treecat Inventory Sync: How Fetch and Auto Delist Work
Treecat software makes it easier for resellers to keep inventory and sales data up to date across connected stores. In this overview, we’ll break down the Treecat inventory sync, the Fetch Sales process, and the Auto Delist feature so you know how to use them effectively.
1. What You Need Before You Start
Before running inventory sync or sales fetch, make sure of two things:
- The Treecat agent is installed and working
- You are logged into all of your connected stores in Treecat
These two setup steps are essential. If the agent is not active, Treecat cannot communicate with your store platforms. If your stores are not logged in, Treecat cannot pull the correct inventory or sales data.
2. How Treecat Inventory Sync Works
Treecat inventory sync helps import and update listing and sales information across your stores.
When you run Fetch Sales for the first time:
- Treecat imports historical sales
- The first import can take time, sometimes up to 40 seconds per sale
- Treecat may also import up to two years of historical inventory, depending on the store
The first sync usually takes the longest. After that, future fetches are much faster because Treecat only pulls in new sales instead of reprocessing all history.
If your computer goes to sleep or loses connection during the process, you may need to restart the fetch.
3. What Fetch Sales Does
The Fetch Sales button is a one-click process that can:
- Run an inventory sync
- Refresh 30-day sales status
- Pull in new sales data
If an inventory sync has not been completed yet, Fetch Sales will begin with a full inventory sync before importing sales history. That full sync must finish first.
This makes Fetch Sales a central part of keeping Treecat data current and accurate.
4. Auto Delist: Automatic Sales Processing
Treecat’s Auto Delist feature automates scheduled sales fetching.
When enabled, Auto Delist will:
- Run sales fetches automatically
- Perform an inventory sync
- Refresh 30-day sales status
- Fetch new sales
- Run at least once every hour, 24/7
If Auto Delist is turned off, you’ll need to manually delist cross-listed items.
Treecat also notes that the system is being improved over time, so the frequency and speed of automated fetches may continue to increase.
5. Where to Find These Settings in Treecat
Here’s where to find the main settings in the platform:
Proxy Configuration
To check whether the Treecat agent is active:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and select Proxy Configuration
- Look for the status indicator:
- Green / Active = working correctly
- Red / Not Active = not working
You can also use the Test Proxy button or restart the agent if needed. If your computer is turned off, the proxy will not work.
Platforms
To confirm your store logins:
- Stay in Settings
- Click Platforms
- Log in to your stores if needed
If you are already signed in, you may only see the option to log out.
Sales Menu
To run Fetch Sales:
- Go to the Sales menu
- Click Fetch Sales on the right side
- Wait for the loading bubbles while Treecat processes the request
Auto Delist Toggle
To enable Auto Delist:
- Stay on the Sales page
- Find Auto Delist on the left side under the search bar
- Slide the toggle to the right to turn it on
6. Best Practices for Smooth Syncing
To keep Treecat inventory sync and Auto Delist running properly:
- Keep your computer turned on
- Avoid using sleep mode
- Make sure you have stable power and internet
- Confirm the Treecat agent stays active
If your system shuts down during the process, you may need to begin again from the start.
Treecat inventory sync and automated sales fetch features are designed to save time and keep listings accurate across stores. Once configured, they help resellers manage inventory more efficiently with less manual work.
