How to Use Treecat’s Multiple Accounts Feature

Treecat’s new multiple accounts feature makes it easier to manage more than one marketplace account from the same workspace. In this quick tutorial, we’ll cover how to add accounts, switch between listings, move inventory between accounts, and understand how policies carry over.

This makes running managing multiple eBay accounts easier than Inkfrog ever was.

1. Add Multiple Accounts in Treecat

To get started, you need to be on the computer that has the Treecat agent installed.

From there, go to:

Settings → Marketplaces

Make sure you are logged into both accounts you want to connect. For example, many sellers use an incognito browser window so they can open:

• eBay account 1
• eBay account 2

This makes it easier to add and manage both accounts side by side.

2. Customize Each Account

Once your accounts are added, Treecat gives you a couple of useful options:

• Gear icon: lets you set or apply policies
• Pencil icon: lets you edit the account name and add a custom icon

This is especially helpful if you want to visually separate accounts, such as using a different logo for each store.

3. Add Listings to the Right Account

After setup, go to Inventory to create a new listing.

When you start a listing, you can choose which account it should go to, such as:

• eBay account 1
• eBay account 2

As soon as you begin working on one account, Treecat will gray out the other account icon so you know you’re only editing one marketplace account at a time.

You can also filter your inventory by account in the Inventory → Accounts section.

4. Move Listings Between Accounts

Treecat also includes a move option for listings. This lets you transfer a listing from one account to another, and it will:

• de-list the item from the original account
• re-list it to the new account
• send you an email notification when the process is complete

Important note on policies

When a listing is moved from one eBay or Poshmark account to another, the original listing’s policies transfer with it. If your second account uses different policies, you’ll need to update them after the move.

This matters most for sellers who separate stores by policy, such as:

• free shipping store
• calculated shipping store

5. Edge Case: Move Even If De-Listing Fails

Treecat also has an option to move even if de-list fails. This is not recommended for general use, but it can help in special situations, such as when:

• an old account no longer exists
• the listings are still in Treecat
• you need to move those listings to a new account

This is mainly an edge-case recovery feature for sellers dealing with account changes.
